5 Reassurance Bible Verses

5-bible-verses-for-reassurance

God has been so good to me, He sure has! And sometimes, we forget how good He is to us. So good that He put an entire BOOK full of verses to remind us of His promises to us. To remind us to not worry.

The Bible is a wonderful place to go to when you worry too much. (Something I do TOO much of). Whether it’s about finances. Or relationships. Or His love to us! In fact, the Bible tells us to not be afraid 365 times. That is a constant, DAILY reminder to have faith in Him!

Lately, I’ve been going through a tough time myself, and I kept looking for reassurance through friends, family, and materialistic things. And sometimes it’s like that. We do that. We forget that we have an almighty God, an almighty One that is here watching over us. Protecting us. Fighting our battles. Keeping us strong.

And you can ask God for anything too. Today at Church, the Pastor preached about John 3:16. It is SUCH a common verse, it really is. But it’s SO powerful.

For those of you that don’t know it:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

God gave us something MASSIVE! Something AMAZING! He gave us, the guilty, the sinful, the wrong doers… an innocent person to pay for the price of the wrongs that we have done.

The Preacher today went on to explain that if you walked outside right now, and there was a brand new Ferrari with 0 miles on it sitting out there just for you as a gift from a friend, and you open the trunk and saw that there was jumper cables and you say to your friend, “Hey, can I have the jumper cables that were in the trunk?” What do you think your friend is going to say? Well…. DUH. Like come on, I just gave you an AMAZING, over the top gift, of COURSE you can have the jumper cables, that’s something so small in comparison to what I’ve already given you!

And that is just like God giving us His son to die on the cross for our sins. He gave us something amazing, special, and important! Of course He can give us peace, and strength, and all of those amazing things.

Bible Verses for your reassurance:

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 ESV

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave him up for us all, how will He not also graciously give us all things?”
Romans 8:31 ESV

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28 ESV

“And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Exodus 33:13 ESV

“For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.”
2 Corinthians 1:5 ESV

Stay strong my friends, and remember that God is with you!
